"I love the variety of musical styles that influence the Beatles’ original material -- from British music halls to country music to R&B to rock n’ roll its all there."
Six time Juno Award winner Russell deCarle is the lead singer, bass player, and a founding member of platinum-selling group Prairie Oyster. deCarle is a two time SOCAN songwriter award winner and has appeared as a guest on the acclaimed CBC Songwriter's Circle series, toured with the Bluebird North series, opened for Merle Haggard on his cross-country tour of Canada, and has appeared as a special guest vocalist on many occasions. His love and appreciation for the roots of honky tonk as well as the classic vocalists, the dramatic ballads of Roy Orbison, and the timeless sounds of the Everly Brothers is evident in his song writing and performance.
deCarle’s latest project is Under The Big Big Sky, a solo album slated for release later this year. The album is produced by John Sheard and engineered by Juno Award winning L. Stu Young, known for his work on Prince's album Musicology among others.
